Aerial Photography Tips
The best months for aerial photography and aerial video in Florida are September through May, when crisp blue skies are predominate. The reduced chance of clouds to cast shadows on the terrain allows the ideal situation to deliver a quality aerial image. The summer months can prove to be challenging due to the early formation of cumulonimbus clouds, so an early start is a must.
Over the years it has become overwhelmingly evident our atmosphere has fallen victim of pollution and haze. Visibility levels are on the decrease and though we would love the perfect “take away the haze filter” to our knowledge, one does not exist. To reduce the appearance of any haze from your aerial images it is important to know the “hero” direction of your property or project. This allows us to fly your mission at the ideal time of day for optimum clarity. Though we provide you with images from all angles, the backlit side is always at higher risk for a haze to appear, especially in reference to oblique images where the horizon is visible.
The more information the better
Though your property or project might be easy to find from the ground… from 15,000 miles up the air it is sometimes quite the challenge; especially for properties that have no defining features or landmarks. Expect a few rounds of communication to clarify the project before we ever leave the ground. The more information you can provide the better, which will reduce operating costs and allow us to deliver your job at the most competitive rate possible.
